Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Banker

Alan Mitchell is a global mid-market US Investment Bank with a strong European platform providing M&A and Equities advice to their clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Investment Banking Associate with 3 – 4 years of M&A sell-side experience to join our Chemicals Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a highly respected senior MD who brings with him a wealth of experience and strong client network. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the sector teams M&A capabilities, assisting senior bankers on execution of sell-side advisory transactions, preparing and presenting marketing materials, leading valuation and financial modelling work, and working closely with the broader global sector group as required.
Key Responsibilities- Support the sector teams M&A capabilities and assist senior bankers on execution of sell-side advisory transactions.
- Prepare and present marketing materials, including opportunity and industry research.
- Lead valuation and financial modelling work for M&A transactions.
- Work closely with the broader global sector group as required.
- Must have at least 3-4 years of M&A sell-side experience ideally from an Investment Bank or Boutique advisory firm.
- Must have Chemicals sector experience.
- Degree educated with a minimum of 2:1 from a top university.
- Must have proven experience of transaction processes, including modelling, research, drafting, presentation and locked box mechanism skills.
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with an ability to grasp and understand business issues quickly.
- Appetite for varied project work and a desire to contribute to a highly successful M&A team.
- Ability to work accurately under time pressure and manage multiple commitments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence when interacting with colleagues and clients in business and social situations.
