Job Overview

Are you an experienced Ambulance Care Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for Band 3 Ambulance Care Assistants to progress in their roles within the Patient Transport Service.

This is a fantastic chance to develop your skills and expertise, working with a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide a support service to patients and SCAS PTS staff in relation to the delivery of patient property and medications.
  • Transport low to middle dependency patients to and from treatment centers in a comfortable, caring, and compassionate manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and health service colleagues.
  • Provide a quality service to patients, their relatives, and carers, ensuring their safety while in the care of South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Key Requirements:

  • Full manual UK driving license with no more than 3 points for speeding.
  • Community First Responder Qualified.
  • GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths or English or demonstrable experience.
