Clinical Pharmacist Specialist

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare professionals.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical specialties, including medicine, neurosciences, surgery, critical care, and oncology. You will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services, including ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and medication management. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in leadership and management, education, and research.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will be expected to participate in extended hours, including late nights and weekend dispensary support on a rotational basis. You will also have the opportunity to work towards the new RPS core Advanced Practice Curriculum and have the opportunity to undertake further study in either clinical or management qualifications.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Pharmacy, GPhC registration, and sound knowledge of a surgical or medical specialty acquired through working within a suitable specialty. You will also have experience of teaching and tutoring, and a sound understanding of healthcare priorities and political agendas.
