About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Assistant to join our team at the Devon Out of Hours (OOH) service. This is a part-time position, working on a 3-week rolling rota basis, with a variety of set shifts across the week. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in the running of Practice Plus Groups services throughout Devon OOH, with a focus on our Plymouth sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Manager in the delivery of a high-quality service for Practice Plus Group patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of operational staff, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of new operational staff.
  • Provide reports to the Operations Manager as required.

Requirements

  • A good standard of education.
  • Previous experience in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • The ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • A good knowledge of the local area and map reading skills.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
