Job Title: Laboratory Quality Control Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our microbiological laboratory team as a Laboratory Quality Control Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality control, reporting of results, client liaison, supervision of technicians, report authorisation, and stock management. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality control and wants to lead a team of experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all samples meet the required standards through IQC/EQA/Media QC procedures.
  • Reporting of Results: Accurately and efficiently report test results in a timely manner.
  • Client Liaison: Provide specialist knowledge to clients as requested and maintain excellent communication skills.
  • Supervision of Microbiology Technicians: Lead and supervise a team of microbiology technicians to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Report Authorisation: Authorise reports before submission to clients.
  • Stock Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels and order supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Punctual and efficient with a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., microbiology, biology, chemistry).
  • Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a quality control role.
