Embryology Laboratory Lead

Are you a motivated and experienced Clinical Embryologist looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a 12-month fixed-term contract at the North Thames Genomics Laboratory Hub. In this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the development of research within the hub.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical embryology, including experience in routine procedures, and be able to communicate complex information effectively to patients. We require HCPC registration for this role and encourage applications from those with relevant qualifications.
This position involves performing a range of laboratory procedures, including semen analysis, sperm preparation, oocyte and embryo handling, and cryopreservation. You will also participate in the selection of embryos best suited for transfer and cryopreservation, as well as maintaining liquid nitrogen storage vessels and performing administrative tasks associated with the embryology laboratory.
In addition to these duties, you will work flexibly to meet the needs of the team, including working across multiple sites and participating in a weekend rota. To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor of Science degree in life sciences or an equivalent qualification, along with professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council and experience within the field of assisted conception and reproductive medicine.
