Embryologist (part-time)

We are seeking an experienced embryologist to join our team on a part-time basis. As an embryologist at North Thames Genomics Laboratory Hub, you will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures associated with diagnostic and therapeutic treatment services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences, clinical embryology experience, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also be proficient in using computer database systems and able to carry out administrative duties.

A competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience. This role requires a flexible approach to working hours, including weekend shifts and on-call cover.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory procedures associated with diagnostic and therapeutic treatment services
  • Select embryos best suited for embryo transfer and cryopreservation
  • Counsel patients regarding treatment options and implications
  • Break bad news to patients and provide further treatment options
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in life sciences or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate Clinical Embryology from the Association of Clinical Embryologists or equivalent
  • Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
