Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience to all members and their guests, demonstrating confidence and excellent communication skills.
  • Process membership cards and handle cash transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to cash handling procedures, including till reconciliation and cashing up at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a high level of personal presentation and ensure the reception areas are always clean and well-maintained.
  • Stay up-to-date on current offers, activities, and events, and promote them to members and guests.
  • Book activities for members and process payments as necessary.
  • Assist customers enquiring about membership at The Lensbury.
  • Liaise with other leisure departments to ensure seamless activity booking and availability of printed materials.
  • Ensure the reception areas are presented to the highest standard, including notice boards.
  • Work flexibly to ensure adequate staffing, covering breaks and absences as required.
  • Contribute to additional membership sales responsibilities, supporting the Membership Team.
What We're Looking For:
  • Ability to effectively and competently deal with all guests and members.
  • Methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent customer service skills and good telephone manner.
  • Accurate typing skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a reception or similar role, with knowledge of computerized reservation systems.
  • An interest in sport and leisure is desirable.
