Job Title: Head of Finance

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Finance to lead our finance team and support the Chief Executive in driving our charity's continued national and international success.

About the Role:

This is a critical position that will play a key role in shaping our charity's future growth and success. We seek a motivated and strategic individual with experience as a Finance Director or Head of Finance, preferably within a charity or not-for-profit organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Ensure financial control, annual reports, accounts, month-end close, profit and loss analysis, budgeting, forecasting, VAT management, cash handling, payroll, and balance sheet preparation.
  • Financial Opportunities: Identify and explore investment and fundraising opportunities to drive our charity's growth.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with Trustees and the Chief Executive, providing regular reports and advising on key financial decisions.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate key commercial contracts on behalf of our charity.
Requirements:
  • CIMA or AAT qualified accountant with previous experience in a similar role.
  • International exposure is desirable to contribute to our charity's global expansion.
  • Familiarity with transaction processing software is an asset.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: With a flexible and team-focused approach.
What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £80-£90k per annum (negotiable), plus excellent benefits including partial remote working, flexible hours, and 5 weeks' holiday.
