Strategic Infrastructure

National Grid's Strategic Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering 17 major new projects to connect clean, low-carbon power to the transmission network in England and Wales. As a Graduate Consents Officer, you'll work collaboratively with the Consents team to ensure project consents are delivered efficiently and in accordance with current legislation.

The Role

You'll lead, manage, and coordinate minor project consents, challenging and advising project teams on design and development impacts. You'll prepare and communicate comprehensive Consents Strategies for projects, identifying resource requirements and ensuring value for money.

You'll also play a key role in improving the consenting process and developing guidance for Consents Officers. As part of our graduate programme, you'll have access to 121 coaching and mentorship, with opportunities for career progression.
