About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Engineer Service Manager to lead our team of field-based Fire & Security Engineers and the Operations office. The successful candidate will ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and are serviced on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with customers, focusing on customer service, retention, and growth.
  • Manage and motivate field engineers directly, ensuring all customers are serviced on time and to the highest standards.
  • Distribute and allocate work efficiently, ensuring completion within agreed timescales.
  • Monitor and report weekly on key deliverables and KPIs, aligning with NSI and BAFE accreditations and business targets.
  • Resolve customer queries promptly, maintaining the highest standards of service.
  • Monitor materials and equipment, ensuring stock levels are correct.
  • Manage the fleet, adhering to maintenance schedules and standards.
  • Liaise with suppliers for best price practice and stock availability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a team of engineers or similar, ideally within the fire protection or security industry.
  • Highly driven and motivated, with excellent multitasking skills.
  • A keen eye for detail is essential.
  • Experience in people management and motivation of lone working engineers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and effective communication skills at all levels.
  • Proficient in IT, with knowledge of Microsoft and CRM systems.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
