Job Overview:
Cinnamon Care is seeking an experienced and skilled Team Leader to oversee the care team in a 60-bedded care home in Eastleigh. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure exceptional resident care and support for families.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of care delivery processes and be able to coordinate resident assessments, manage medication administration, and recruit staff. A background in long-term care or a similar industry is essential, with experience working with older people highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring accurate identification of needs and preferences.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Lead by example, providing coaching and support to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants to maintain high standards of care.
  • Manage medication administration processes, implementing robust auditing procedures to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Recruit and train staff through the Cinnamon process, managing contracted hours and monitoring recruitment needs.
  • Communicate effectively with family members regarding resident needs and progress, maintaining open channels of communication.
  • Oversee team member absence, conduct return-to-work sessions, and facilitate smooth handovers between shifts.

Requirements:
  • NVQ 3 qualification in care.
  • Minimum two years' experience in long-term care or a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care delivery.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
