Job Summary:

Intensive Floating Support Worker

  • Hours: 35 per week (Full time)
  • Contract: Permanent (subject to on-going funding) Work-based contract
  • Shift Pattern: Generally, Monday-Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work. Flexibility on start and finish times to support a work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide intensive floating support to people with multiple co-occurring needs, including challenges linked to substance use, homelessness, mental health, with a particular focus on women who may be experiencing or be at risk of abuse, harm, or violence.

Work closely with the Newport Gateway Team and other partner agencies to meet the housing-related support needs of people engaged in the service, aiming to alleviate homelessness and sustain accommodation in the long term.

Collaborate with colleagues at Cyfannol to ensure people referred to the service have ready access to all our services, including the Hwb drop-in facilities, Horizon sexual violence services, and our domestic abuse services.

Essential Requirements:

A current valid driving licence, access to a car, and insurance covering business use are essential.

Due to the nature of these roles, they are only open to female applicants (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
