Special Educational Needs Assistant - Tower Hamlets

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Assistant to join our team in a SEND school in Tower Hamlets.

The successful applicant will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and behavioural challenges, to help them achieve academic, social, and emotional success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Nurture pupils in developing lifelong, transferable skills to excel academically and socially.
  • Assist in providing one-to-one and smaller group support to pupils with varying abilities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Create a rapport with parents and track student progress, ensuring effective communication and collaborative relationships.
  • Support the emotional and social development of pupils, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience in working with SEND pupils, with a strong understanding of their needs and requirements.
  • Good behaviour management skills, with the ability to create a calm and focused learning environment.
  • Prior experience working with SEND pupils is essential, with a passion for supporting students academically and emotionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, leaders, parents, and carers.

Salary:

£28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
