Mental Health Team Lead with Clinical Expertise

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to take on the role of Mental Health Team Lead, responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be instrumental in shaping the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring the effective management of our services.
About the Role:
- To provide clinical leadership and direction to the Mental Health Team, ensuring that service users receive the highest standard of care and support.
- To develop and implement policies and procedures that promote safe and effective practice, aligning with current mental health policy issues and legislative requirements.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including partnership working with other agencies, to ensure seamless delivery of care and support.
- To identify opportunities for service development and improvement, implementing initiatives that enhance the patient experience and promote positive outcomes.
- To participate in audit processes, analyzing data and recommendations to inform evidence-based practice and improve service delivery.
- To provide advice and guidance on clinical competence, nursing standards, and procedures, promoting best practice within the team.
- To ensure that nursing practice is sensitive to the needs of an ethnically diverse population, upholding the principles of equal opportunity and fair access.
- To manage all complaints and serious incidents, undertaking investigations as required by Trust Policy.
- To communicate complex information to service users and staff, ensuring accurate understanding and support networks are identified and implemented as necessary.
Requirements:
- A Registered Nurse, Allied Health, or Social Care Professional with education to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Substantial post-registration experience, preferably at Band 6 in a multidisciplinary team with line management and supervision responsibility.
- Experience of supporting staff through change and multi-professional collaboration, including partnership working with other agencies.
- Able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to principles of equal opportunity, fair access, and service user empowerment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, presenting ideas with clarity for various audiences.
- Competent in using IT, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email.
Salary Estimate: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience) based on industry standards and London location.
