About the Role

Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) is seeking an experienced Income Officer to join our Customer and Communities Team. As an Income Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing a joined-up customer-focused income service to all tenants, while supporting tenant sustainment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximise income collection, ensuring performance indicators and service standards are met and maintained.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers in arrears recovery or similar roles.
  • Negotiate and advise tenants to seek resolutions to their financial difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant housing and welfare benefits legislation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent customer focus and experience of providing a customer-facing service to customers in an arrears recovery or similar role.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into service delivery and to gather, interpret and relay information from them.
  • Numerical skills.
