Job Title: Lead Civil Asset Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Civil Asset Engineer to join our team at John Wood Group in Reading. As a key member of our staff, you will work on a variety of exciting projects across all our sectors in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the analysis and engineering/design of steel and concrete structures to various International & Company codes and standards.
  • Develop and implement engineering/design solutions for structure and equipment foundations to static and dynamic loading.
  • Utilize engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, Foundation 3D, Matt 3D to analyze and design structures.
  • Prepare Basis of Engineering/Design, Material Specifications, Material take-offs, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, and Inter-discipline engineering/design coordination and supervision.
  • Collaborate with Engineers/Designers in the preparation of CAD drawings, typically using Microstation, Smartplant 3D, AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS.
  • Provide technical support to other members of the team and ensure all work is carried out with a positive attitude toward safety.
Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Chartered Engineer status preferable.
  • Competent in using Civil design programmes such as STAAD.Pro, Foundation 3D, Matt 3D.
  • Experience and good understanding of UK national and international codes and standards.
