Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Language Teacher to join our team at the British Council in Egypt. As an English Language Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to students of various ages and proficiency levels.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver English language lessons to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to help students improve their language skills.
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses, materials, and related services.
  • Actively engage in professional development and performance management to ensure quality and high standards in teaching and learning.
  • Ensure safeguarding and guidelines are applied and upheld in line with standards and policy for the following areas: Child Protection, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, Anti-bribery, Information management, Health and safety.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree (any discipline)
  • Cambridge CELTA or Trinity cert TESOL
  • High proficiency in English (CEFR C2)
  • 2 years post-certificate experience (CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL)
  • Experience in teaching relevant age groups: Adults General English, Young adults
