Job Description

Role Overview

The London School of English is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modern Language Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging language courses to adult learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and goals of adult learners
  • Lead group courses, focusing on practical language skills and cultural exploration
  • Use the target language as the primary means of instruction, promoting language acquisition and cultural immersion
  • Implement differentiated instruction to accommodate varying learning speeds and styles
  • Integrate cultural elements and activities into the curriculum to enhance learners' understanding of the language's context and culture
  • Foster a sense of community among learners, encouraging collaboration, peer support, and cultural exchange

Requirements

  • Native or C2 level proficiency in the target language (French)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • At least a University bachelor's degree in any field
  • A Modern Language teaching certification (CLTA, DITALS, CTCSOL, TCSOL, etc.) or a University degree in the subject
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Modern Language teacher for adult learners
  • Flexible, resilient, and organized
  • A University degree in the target language (master's degree preferred)
  • Experience in Teacher training (e.g., CLTA training)
