Van Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Van Technician to join our team at Rygor Group in Heathrow. As a Van Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles using observational and mechanical testing, as well as information provided by customers
  • Provide detailed estimates for repairs and replacements, and obtain customer approval prior to commencing work
  • Repair vehicles based on diagnosed issues and repair estimates
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure mechanical soundness and identify any additional problems
  • Describe vehicle condition to customers and answer follow-up questions
  • File appropriate documentation on each repair
Requirements:
  • Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in LCV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Previous practical working experience as a Van Technician
  • Customer service experience advantageous
  • Computer literacy and confidence using technology
  • Current and full UK driving license for relevant vehicle classes
  • Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards
  • Fantastic communication skills via email, telephone, and face-to-face
  • Ability to use all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge
  • Good administrative knowledge
  • Complete customer documentation within agreed time scales
  • Brilliant team player
  • Positive attitude and flexible with workloads
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Wheel alignment
  • Tyre fitting
  • Experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs
