Van Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Van Technician to join our team at Rygor Group in Heathrow. As a Van Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to deliver quality vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose vehicles using observational and mechanical testing, as well as information provided by customers
  • Provide detailed estimates for repairs and replacements, and obtain customer approval prior to commencing work
  • Repair vehicles based on diagnosed issues and repair estimates
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure mechanical soundness and identify any additional issues
  • Describe vehicle condition to customers and answer follow-up questions
  • File appropriate documentation on each repair
Requirements:
  • Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in LCV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Previous practical working experience as a Van Technician
  • Customer service experience advantageous
  • Computer literacy and confidence using technology
  • Current and full UK driving license for relevant vehicle classes
  • Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards
  • Fantastic communication skills via email, telephone, and face-to-face
  • Ability to use all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge
  • Good administrative knowledge
  • Complete customer documentation within agreed time scales
  • Brilliant team player

  • Tyre fitting
  • Experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repair
