Van Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Van Technician to join our team at Rygor Auto in Heathrow. As a Van Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality vehicle maintenance and repair services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose vehicles using observational and mechanical testing, as well as customer-provided information.
  • Provide detailed estimates for repairs and replacements, and obtain customer approval prior to commencing work.
  • Repair vehicles based on diagnosed issues and repair estimates.
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure mechanical soundness and identify any additional problems.
  • Describe vehicle condition to customers and address follow-up questions.
  • File accurate documentation on each repair.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in LCV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
  • Previous practical working experience as a Van Technician.
  • Customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Computer literacy and confidence using technology.
  • Current and full UK driving license for relevant vehicle classes.
  • Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards.
  • Fantastic communication skills via email, telephone, and face-to-face.
  • Ability to use all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge.
  • Good administrative knowledge.
  • Complete customer documentation within agreed timeframes.
  • Excellent team player with a positive attitude and flexible workloads.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Experience in diagnostic and service repair.
