Head of Career Education

The Head of Career Education will play a key role in shaping the College's approach to career education, ensuring that Etonians develop effective career management skills and understand how to maintain their employability.
Key Duties- Develop and implement a comprehensive career education strategy that meets the Quality in Careers Standard (QiCS) and the Gatsby Benchmarks.
- Design and deliver online and written resources, tools, and activities that promote self-awareness, effective career management, and employability skills.
- Engage with Masters to support them in career education and provide guidance on career development.
- Support Etonians in their search for work experience and facilitate entrepreneurship education and enterprise initiatives.
- Select and recruit external agencies to provide careers services and maintain productive relationships with them.
- Organize and manage careers education workshops and events to ensure Etonians understand the world of work.
- Develop and deliver workshops, seminars, and other activities to enable Etonians to appreciate their capabilities, skills, knowledge, strengths, aptitudes, and personality traits.
- Collaborate with peers in other schools and attend relevant conferences to ensure ongoing personal professional development.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Eton's CEIAG by conducting regular surveys.
- Commit to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion, and safeguarding the welfare of children.
- A Bachelor's degree in a directly-related subject.
- Excellent knowledge of career education work in accordance with the Code of Ethical Principles of the Career Development Institute.
- Membership of the Career Development Institute (CDI) and Registered Career Development Professional (RCDP) status.
- Proven experience in career education at senior level, with demonstrable in-depth knowledge of career education legislation.
- Ability to plan and implement programs, counsel students, and involve oneself with college activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of career development, job search strategies, job market trends, employer relations, contemporary recruitment methodologies, and trends in career services.
