About the Role

Eton College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Career Education and Guidance team. As the Head of Career Education and Development, you will play a key role in shaping the College's approach to career education and ensuring that our students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive career education program that meets the needs of our students and aligns with the College's strategic objectives.
  • Provide high-quality careers guidance and support to students, including one-to-one guidance and group workshops.
  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and external partners to ensure that career education is integrated into the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Manage the department's budget and resources, ensuring effective use of funds and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, universities, and other external partners to provide students with opportunities for work experience, internships, and job placements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in career education and guidance, including legislation, best practices, and research.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as education, career development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in career education and guidance, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
