About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our community mental health team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with severe mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered assessment, thorough risk assessment, and collaboratively agree and coordinate a care plan with service users and their families.
  • Deliver evidence-based treatment interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to support individuals in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, psychiatrists, GPs, and employment advisers, to provide a comprehensive care package.
  • Liaise with external agencies and services as required to ensure the wellbeing of service users.
Requirements
  • A graduate certificate (Level 6) or postgraduate certificate (Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health).
  • Registered as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner on a professional register recognised for this role by NHS England.
  • Experience of working with people with mental health needs gained through a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training with significant supervised practice.
  • Experience running groups/activities, working as part of a team, being supervised, and analysing and communicating complex information verbally and in writing.
