About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our County LMHT teams in a Community Psychiatric Nurse/Mental Health Practitioner role. This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills needed to work within a community setting, providing care to an adult population across the Nottingham city area.
Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to hold a caseload and work with patients and their families to support personalised care plans and provide specialist interventions. You will promote the recovery of patients and through working with partner agencies and primary care to ensure timely and safe discharge from secondary care.
Key Requirements
Essential qualifications include a Professional Qualification (Mental Health) to degree level or equivalent, current registration with the NMC, and further specialist knowledge/post registration experience in specific service area or other formal training. You will also need to demonstrate good written/oral communication skills, diplomatic, caring & sympathetic, and ability to be flexible and handle conflict issues.
What We Offer
As a member of our team, you will have access to regular clinical, managerial and peer supervision, and the opportunity to develop specialist skills in working with patients in at least one pathway within the team. You will also be expected to support students and more junior staff within the team through clinical supervision and mentorship, and you may be asked to line manage some staff.
