Adult Mental Health Crisis Support Team Lead

Buckinghamshire Mind is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Team Lead to oversee the Safe Haven Service, a mental health crisis support service that provides a welcoming and non-stigmatising environment for individuals in crisis.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall line management and supervision to the Safe Haven team, ensuring the smooth delivery and high-quality service provision.
- Coach and support staff in providing emotional support and therapeutic interventions to individuals in crisis.
- Ensure effective risk assessment and safety planning, and maintain accurate case records.
- Monitor service quality, collect and analyze data, and report to the Operations Manager.
- Work collaboratively with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust staff to support and develop the Safe Haven service.
- Prepare for and attend regular individual and group supervisions, and participate in annual personal review meetings.
- Proven experience in providing adult mental health support services, with a background in mental health and a positive attitude towards people with mental health problems.
- Excellent team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, and respond calmly and effectively to high-risk situations.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting people with mental health problems to increase their independence and develop self-management strategies.
- Ability to network and build sustainable working partnerships with volunteers, staff, and other agencies.
- Good level of IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality in line with Buckinghamshire Mind policy.

We work to provide a voice for people with mental health needs, to fight stigma, and campaign to influence policy and decision making locally.
