About the Role

Buckinghamshire Mind is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Team Lead to oversee the Safe Haven Service, a mental health crisis support service that provides a welcoming and non-stigmatising environment for individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall line management and supervision to the Safe Haven team, ensuring the smooth delivery and high-quality service provision.
  • Coach and support staff in providing emotional support and therapeutic interventions to individuals in crisis.
  • Ensure effective risk assessment and safety planning, and maintain accurate case records.
  • Monitor service quality, collect and analyze data, and report to the Operations Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust staff to support and develop the Safe Haven service.
  • Prepare for and attend regular individual and group supervisions, and participate in annual personal review meetings.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in providing adult mental health support services, with a background in mental health and a positive attitude towards people with mental health problems.
  • Excellent team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, and respond calmly and effectively to high-risk situations.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting people with mental health problems to increase their independence and develop self-management strategies.
  • Ability to network and build sustainable working partnerships with volunteers, staff, and other agencies.
  • Good level of IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality in line with Buckinghamshire Mind policy.
