Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Principal Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Birmingham, UK. As a key member of our regional Development Team, you will play a vital role in leading and delivering civil engineering projects for development infrastructure.

About the Role

You will work closely with our team to produce designs and drawings for construction projects, deliver technical reports for masterplanning and planning applications, and ensure timely project delivery within budget and program constraints.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, including concept studies and strategies, design, and planning application submissions.
  • Take financial responsibility for projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and program standards.
  • Work on multi-disciplinary projects and client accounts, liaising with clients at local and national levels.
  • Direct line management, mentoring early-career professionals, and maintaining technical excellence.
  • Assist in fee proposal preparation and business development activities.
  • Maintain a positive working environment and culture within the team.

Requirements

We seek a Chartered Civil Engineer with strong post-graduate experience in civil engineering, preferably with a degree from a recognized institution. You should have expertise in highway design, drainage principles, and software packages such as Civils 3D or PDS. Experience in design of drainage, site appraisal, and report writing is essential.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, part-time options, and a competitive pension scheme.
