Marine Survey Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Calibration Expert to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all marine survey equipment meets the required standards through regular calibration and maintenance.
About the RoleThis role involves performing calibration of marine survey equipment to meet manufacturers and industry standards, as well as updating and revising calibration processes and procedures. You will also be responsible for servicing instruments and completing minor repairs, monitoring future work requirements, and planning accordingly.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:
- Performing calibration of marine survey equipment to meet manufacturers and industry standards.
- Updating, revising, and creating calibration processes and procedures.
- Servicing instruments and completing minor repairs as necessary.
- Monitoring future work requirements and planning accordingly.
- Organizing and overseeing the dispatch of equipment for external calibration and ensuring timely completion.
- Supporting the wider technical team with ad-hoc engineering tasks as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Prior experience in Electrical Calibration, Quality inspection, QC, Testing, Fault finding, or Verification roles.
- Working knowledge of electronic fault finding, ideally to component level.
- Confidence in learning new PC-based software.
- A keen eye for detail, methodical working, and the ability to work independently.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £58,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including market-leading benefits, accommodation, and support with securing visas and work permits.
