About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Survey Operations Engineer to join our Marine Geophysical team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the mobilisations of survey and operational equipment, data acquisition and processing systems, and providing technical support to operations on our fleet of purpose-built survey vessels.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work on a variety of projects, including geophysical, environmental, geotechnical, AUV, and USV surveys. You will be exposed to a large range of projects and continually seek to identify and improve working methods and technology.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Planning and coordinating the mobilisations of survey and operational equipment, data acquisition and processing systems.
  • Providing technical and operational support to survey vessels and participating in the technical support helpdesk.
  • Ensuring sufficient inventory of equipment, spares, and consumables is available to support operations.

The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in a relevant field (MSC/BSc/BEng level or Professional Engineering qualification) and excellent numerical, verbal, and written skills. In return, Fugro offers a competitive salary of $73,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus an attractive benefits package including contributory pension scheme, life assurance, private medical insurance, and flexible working hours.
