At Academics Ltd, we are committed to providing exceptional support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a supply basis in schools across Selby.

Job Description

We are looking for individuals who can provide tailored learning strategies, lesson adaptations, and behavior management techniques to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This may include autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Working one-to-one or in small groups with students to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Providing emotional and social support to students, helping them build confidence and positive peer relationships.
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

  • A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting children's learning and well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across various schools in Selby, often at short notice.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and a passion for working with children of all backgrounds and abilities.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
