Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at our head office near Chorley. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing safe and compliant engineering solutions, producing detailed design drawings, and collaborating with our team to deliver high-quality projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and develop safe and compliant engineering solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Produce detailed design drawings and documentation in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure design solutions meet project objectives.
  • Source innovative ideas and solutions to achieve optimal engineering outcomes.
  • Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments to ensure design integrity.
Requirements
  • Experience in mechanical design engineering within a regulated industry (nuclear preferred).
  • Demonstrable experience of design and detailing plant and equipment.
  • Knowledge of design codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Understanding of NEC contracts, change control methodology, and project management practices.
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
Security Clearance
