Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Employment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in the Nuclear industry.

This exciting role involves leading the development of innovative designs for major projects within a multi-disciplinary team. If you have leadership experience and a passion for engineering excellence, this could be the next step in your career.

We have contract roles available at various levels: Mechanical Design Engineer, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, and Principal Mechanical Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop design concepts, layouts, and detailed engineering documentation.
  2. Lead a small team of design engineers or work independently, as required.
  3. Produce design justification reports that address technical risks and safety concerns.
  4. Manage designs within the constraints of project schedules and budgets.

Compensation: In return, you'll receive a base salary of between £38 - £60 per hour, depending on your experience. A Nuclear or Defence background is essential.
