Main Responsibilities

The Sister/Charge Nurse is accountable for the 24-hour care delivery and management of the ward/area. This role requires working as an integral member of the Multidisciplinary Team within University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Duties
  • Supervise the assessment of care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate care programs.
  • Take the lead in shift coordination of the unit.
  • Support and manage junior members of the nursing team.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate extensive knowledge and clinical expertise within the specialty.

  • NICU post-registration experience.
  • Previous Band 6 or higher experience in relevant Neonatal Intensive Care.
