Job Title: Young Adult Intervention Coach

Location: Tower Hamlets

Contract: Permanent, subject to funding

Starting Salary: £33,500 (Top Salary Band for this role: £35,000)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Young Adult Intervention Coach to join our innovative, specialist Intervention Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and implementing tailored intervention coaching plans for at-risk young people on your caseload.

Your primary objective will be to identify, disrupt, challenge, and support young people to move out of harm and prevent further involvement in harmful activities. This will involve targeted street work, specialized one-to-one harm reduction and life skills coaching, as well as working with intervention frontline colleagues in tertiary intervention situations.

Streets of Growth is an award-winning, value-led, outcome-driven charity working to reduce harm and positively transform the lives of vulnerable and at-risk young people in Tower Hamlets, East London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and implement tailored intervention coaching plans for at-risk young people
  • Work with young people to identify and address harm and risk factors
  • Develop and deliver specialized one-to-one harm reduction and life skills coaching
  • Collaborate with intervention frontline colleagues in tertiary intervention situations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective intervention strategies
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in youth work, social services, or a related field. You will possess robust frontline experience of working with young people, including experience in engaging, assessing, and delivering interventions designed to support young people to build personal resilience and move away from harm and violence.

You will also have sound risk assessment skills and safeguarding knowledge, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A key component of the job role is case management and knowledge of good practice models, which will underpin Streets of Growth practice.
