Job Description

The Principal Pricing Analyst will play a key role in driving improvements to our Motor pricing, across all of our brands and channels. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join our Pricing team and contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend and deliver changes to prices and underwriting criteria for our Motor products to achieve volume and profit targets.
  • Collaborate with the business to understand key aspects of Pricing, including risk pricing, retail pricing, and expenses.
  • Lead the build and updating of significant risk/retail models using Radar, Emblem, and other alternative modelling techniques.
  • Monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use insights from internal and external sources to deliver a step-change improvement to esure's pricing capabilities.
  • Coach and mentor Analysts and Senior Analysts, and support in managing tasks and priorities.
  • Support the delivery of pricing initiatives and contribute to the development of market-leading pricing and rating capabilities.

Requirements

  • A passion for data, analysis, and drawing meaningful insights from data.
  • Experience in a Senior or Principal Pricing role, with knowledge of the UK Motor or Home insurance products/markets.
  • Experience with Radar and other insurance pricing software, such as Emblem.
  • Good experience with statistical software, including SQL.
  • A solid understanding of pricing and modelling techniques.
  • The ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms and produce clear, concise reports.
