About the Role

This position plays a pivotal part in the success of our delivery operations at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring seamless home shopping delivery experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the team to deliver great availability for customers and safe operations.
  • Take ownership of delivery activities, running daily operations, and coordinating the team to achieve excellence.
  • Prioritize workload to ensure equipment and loading of vans guarantee a smooth doorstep service for customers.
  • Develop and maintain a positive team culture, encouraging colleagues to strive for excellence.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify areas for improvement and implement practical actions to drive growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company health and safety routines and promote a culture of safety among colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with the team, providing regular updates and feedback to ensure everyone is aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the store and with other stores in the local area to achieve shared success.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Flexible thinking, with the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and make informed decisions.
