About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Smart Energy Sustainability Expert to join our team. As an integral part of our Smart Energy and Sustainability Division, you will play a crucial role in shaping the approach that organizations take to decarbonization and a net-zero future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct net-zero carbon studies at project and master planning levels
  • Develop planning application support documents, including energy strategy and environmental assessments
  • Contribute to climate change studies and ESG strategy
  • Analyze Life-Cycle Carbon and Cost Analyses (LCCA)
  • Support renewable energy development and electrical generation, storage, and distribution

What You Will Learn

  • Carbon verification, validation, and auditing
  • Contributing to the delivery of key projects with support from senior team members
  • Reviewing project details and developing appropriate sustainability targets
  • Communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external team members
  • Preparing reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams
  • Managing your workload to meet project deadlines
  • Reviewing project performance and updating the team's project tracker
  • Engaging with skills networks to exchange best practices and processes
  • Completing relevant training to become qualified to deliver carbon consultancy advisory services
  • Developing commercial awareness by assisting with proposal preparation

Requirements

  • Hold a relevant degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher
  • Be humble, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Have an understanding of the construction industry and built environment
  • Be able to commute to the office on a regular basis
