We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Local Development Worker. This role is a key part of our plans to reinvigorate Quakerism and support Quaker communities to thrive.

About the Role

As a Local Development Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting Quaker communities to be inclusive, welcoming, and all-age. Your responsibilities will include providing accompaniment, facilitation, project support, and training to help communities grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Quaker communities to develop and deliver a shared vision
  • Provide accompaniment and facilitation to help communities grow and develop
  • Offer project support and training to help communities achieve their goals
  • Work alongside others at Quakers in Britain and Woodbrooke to provide resources and opportunities that meet the needs of local Quakers
Requirements

We are looking for someone who is a good listener, familiar with Quaker worship, community, witness, and organisation. You should be organised and resourceful, able to research information, analyse and sift it, and apply it appropriately to a range of situations and personalities. You should also be creative and adaptable, able to encourage innovation and support experimentation.
