About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Critical Operations Manager to join our team at IAG Cargo. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the critical team: Manage a team of rostered individuals that work 365 days a year around the clock.
  2. Own and optimize the team roster.
  3. Foster a high-performance, motivated, and resilient team culture.
  4. Minimize overtime while maintaining productivity.
  5. Create reports to manage both business metrics and productivity metrics from a commercial and operational perspective and generate product dive deeps to investigate certain details.
  6. Proactively identify ways to monetize and generate new sources of revenue from our existing critical products or from new products/initiatives (ancillaries).
  7. Identify product gaps and ensure consistent delivery in our product performance globally.
  8. Help the head of product define priorities and balance resource needs across the critical team.
  9. Generate product plans and projects that have clear measurable deliverables and success criteria.
  10. Build and sustain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (product managers, sales, operations, business managers) and with key external stakeholders and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in leading and managing teams (ideally shifted teams with complex schedules 365, 24/7).
  • Experience in product and project management in the air cargo industry (airlines, freight forwarding) or in global logistics and supply chain.
  • Flexibility to support your team in whatever is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure. Very hands-on approach to keep the critical cargo moving.
  • Good communications and influencing skills.
  • Team player with emotional intelligence.
  • Sound business and strategic judgement with strong analytical thinking.
  • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to back up assumptions and make decisions.
