We're a leading Facilities Management provider, ISS, looking to enhance the mechanisms for handling, managing, and improving data related to our national Sustainability product. This encompasses energy efficiency, waste management, and more across various client sectors.

This role will oversee the sustainability data produced throughout its process, which is complex, originates from multiple sources, has different owners, and varies in quality. You'll monitor and report on business-critical data quality, enabling the identification, recording, and management of data issues. This will help us understand the scope, complexity, and impacts, allowing for prioritization and remediation to ensure data remains fit for purpose.

You will foster a culture of data literacy and drive Sustainability decision-making through data-driven insights across the organization. This involves providing training and resources to enhance data literacy and analytics capabilities. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Developing, owning, and governing the employer's approach to data management within Sustainability.
  2. Acting as the data owner for Sustainability.
  3. Defining, implementing, and ensuring delivery of comprehensive Sustainability data policies and standards aligned with enterprise-wide data policies and standards.
  4. Collaborating across sustainability and other enterprise teams to integrate data quality standards into product design and delivery.
  5. Supporting the senior management team in developing and implementing the programme data strategy and principles across Sustainability for employees and customers.
  6. Responsible for process mapping and analysis, working across multiple projects from inception to delivery and embedding.
  7. Creating and implementing standardized data governance processes to support multiple products in various parts of the Group.
  8. Identifying, collating, and analyzing complex and incomplete data sets across numerous systems to inform project development.
  9. Serving as a Subject Matter Expert in data quality, data management policies, and procedures, working closely with Risk, Security, Architecture, and BI teams to align data policies and standards with enterprise requirements.
We're seeking someone with:
  1. A level of experience in providing support, advice, and technical insight regarding Data Management (in Sustainability) working across business functions with colleagues, customers, and suppliers at various levels of seniority.
  2. Experience of working in Data Management / Analysis, including governance, quality, and process design.
  3. Ability to communicate complex data policies into a format that can be understood by different audiences.
We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on your experience.
