Job Title: 1st Line Support Engineer

Peaple Talent is partnering with a leading technology service provider in Chippenham to recruit a skilled 1st line infrastructure engineer with expertise in MSP and multiple client setups.

About the Role:
  • Take ownership of escalated issues from the Service Desk and work closely with the Network Infrastructure team.
  • Provide 1st line customer-facing and remote support structure.
  • Assist with internal IT support, helpdesk, and incident management.
  • Configure and troubleshoot PC and server systems, firewalls, and network protocols.
  • Perform daily system checks, including backup monitoring and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical support to clients, meeting service level agreements.
  • Maintain and update internal client documentation and logging time and activities.
  • Evaluate and escalate issues that cannot be resolved within agreed service levels.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of experience as an IT/Support Engineer in an MSP or ISP.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online and Microsoft Office 365 fundamentals.
  • Remote Desktop Servers, Desktop Support, and Networking protocols.
