Project Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Oil & Gas Systems Limited. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the engineering and customer-facing activities of projects, ensuring successful completion and meeting project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the engineering of projects, ensuring all phases are carried out to meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate project teams and manage customer communication.
  • Lead project meetings, including design and constructability reviews, HAZOP, P&ID, GA, process, mechanical, E&I, and control system meetings.
  • Manage the implications of changes and ensure overall design integrity.
  • Specify and procure equipment for incorporation into projects.
  • Provide technical support and feedback to the proposals team.
  • Support manufacturing and participate in testing and inspections.
  • Regularly report on key deliverables, such as man-hours, bought-out items, and completion dates.
  • Ensure designs meet customer specifications, industry standards, and codes.
  • Generate project-specific engineering procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure all drawings and documents meet project requirements.
  • Achieve project milestone dates to support cash flow.
  • Approve supplier invoices.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical, chemical, or process engineering degree.
  • Demonstrable experience in a project engineering role, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, technical, and organizational skills.

Working Environment:

This is a mainly office-based role, with occasional travel to workshops, suppliers, or customer sites, both nationally and internationally.
