Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pressure Systems Inspection Specialist to join our team at Stork Technical Services UK Ltd. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the inspection and examination of pressure systems, including process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and PRVs.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Inspection Engineer to work onshore in the Cheshire region, providing expert services to our clients in the oil and gas, chemicals, and process industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Written Schemes of Examination (WSEs) in accordance with the Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR).
  • Preparation of inspection work scopes to satisfy the WSE, specifying access, insulation removal, and NDT requirements.
  • Carry out invasive visual examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE.
  • Interface with NDT teams to provide clarification on NDT inspection techniques.
  • Preparation of high-quality inspection reports, accurately describing the assets' condition.
  • Grade corrosion against company procedure corrosion scales and raise mandatory defects when acceptable limits have been breached.
  • Review PRV certification and ensure devices are correctly set and overhauled/tested on a set frequency.
  • Participate in the Risk-Based Assessment programme for pressure systems equipment.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must meet the UKAS definition for Category 2 or 3 inspection engineers, which includes:

  • In-service inspection experience of process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and PRVs, and knowledge of the accompanying design codes.
  • Understanding of PSSR with experience of creating work scopes to carry out examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as excellent market rates, PAYE and LTD company options available.
