Museum Sector Expert

We are Arts Council England, a leading arts organisation in the UK. We strive to make sure that everyone in England has access to creative and cultural activities, regardless of their background.

As a Museum Sector Expert, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with museums across the north of England. Your expertise will help us develop the sector, ensuring it remains vibrant, innovative, and diverse.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to support museum growth and development
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with museum professionals
  • Collaborating with other stakeholders to promote arts and culture in the region

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of Arts Council England. As a skilled professional, you will have a deep understanding of the museum sector and a passion for promoting arts and culture.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as museum studies or arts management
  • Proven experience in museum administration or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We offer a competitive salary of £36,987, plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme and generous annual leave. Our office is located in Manchester, with the option to work from home one to two days a week.
