Job Summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Older Adult's Liaison Psychiatry. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients and their families, while also contributing to the development and implementation of our service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the needs of patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our service, including the design and delivery of training programs and the development of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the recruitment and supervision of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement activities to enhance the quality of our service and improve patient outcomes.

Person Specification

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist who possesses the following qualifications and experience:

  • MRCPsych or equivalent, with full GMC registration and specialist registration or within six months of completing CCT.
  • Management skills and basic computer skills, including the ability to use email and the internet.
