Job Title: Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant Role

Location: London Borough

Salary: £90-£95 per day

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to join a supportive primary school in Haringey as a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. The role involves providing 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism, ensuring they are motivated and engaged in their learning.

The ideal candidate will possess a calm, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children, along with a solid understanding of Autism and strategies to support children with additional needs. They will also demonstrate a commitment to promoting inclusion and helping every child succeed.

In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to deliver effective and consistent support. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and inclusive team, access ongoing professional development and training opportunities, and make a meaningful impact on a child's education and development.

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism
  • Encourage the pupil to stay on track with lessons and targets set by the class teacher and SENCO
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the pupil's individual needs and abilities
  • Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals
