Mental Health Practitioner for Children and Young People

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues.
Working closely with schools and other educational settings, you will deliver low-intensity group and individual interventions to children and young people, as well as provide training and consultation to staff on mental health awareness and support.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based low-intensity interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues.
- Assess children and young people's mental health needs and develop personalized support plans.
- Work collaboratively with schools and other educational settings to promote mental health awareness and support.
- Provide training and consultation to staff on mental health issues and support strategies.
- Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or CYP Wellbeing Practitioner with postgraduate experience.
- Experience of working with children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
- Ability to conduct assessments and develop support plans for children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
