Children and Young People Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with schools and other educational settings to provide evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver low-intensity evidence-based interventions for children and young people in educational settings with mild to moderate mental health problems.
- Support and facilitate staff in educational settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
- Work within educational environments to afford better access to specialist mental health services.
- Provide training and consultation to schools and other agencies about mental health in children and young people.
- Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or CYP Wellbeing Practitioner Post Graduate Qualification or Degree level in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.
- Experience of working with children and young people, their families, and others in a healthcare or school setting.
- Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioral difficulties.
- Ability to conduct group therapeutic interventions with children and their families.
We offer a competitive salary of £29,970 to £36,483 per annum (pro rata if part-time) and a range of benefits, including opportunities for career development and training.
