**Job Summary**

Austin Fraser is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Literacy Intervention Specialist to join their team at a SEMH school in Cramlington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering 1-2-1 literacy interventions and experience working with young people with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

**About the Role**

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality literacy interventions to students with varying needs, including those with EHCPs. They will also assist teachers with planning and preparation of learning materials, monitor and manage student behaviour, and provide one-on-one support to students as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Deliver 1-2-1 literacy interventions to students with varying needs
  • Assist teachers with planning and preparation of learning materials
  • Monitor and manage student behaviour
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or other relevant qualifications
  • Effective behaviour management strategies
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting
  • Previous experience delivering literacy interventions
